As a first time visitor to the museum, I wasn't sure how the night was going to be. Spoiler alert, it surpassed all expectations! Meeting John Taylor, a 49er alumni, who played wide receiver for 9 seasons and in three Super Bowls, and hearing stories about training camp and life as a legendary 49er was outstanding.
We had a private tour of the museum and the level of thought and detail that were put into each exhibit was extraordinary. The beautiful statues, some pictured above, and the memorabilia made me nostalgic for each bygone era of our team. Seeing the focus on education by the 49er Foundation brought a sense of pride; envisioning the younger generation learning STEM in the epic home of the 49ers. Our future is bright, friends!
Lastly, a divine dinner paired with extraordinary wines by Robert Foley vineyards, oh, the Charbono, put the evening over the top. The chef explained each course and the winemaker, Bob Foley, explained why he paired each wine with each course, clearly exhibiting a great deal of thought was put into each course.
A sincere thank you to the 49er Foundation, the 49er Museum and Julie Schmitz who made this happen. A night to remember forever.
